Spring Clean Your Life
It's been almost a year since my last post. That makes me a little bit sad inside, but also grateful that I am getting back to it. I realize that I had fallen into old habits and depression again this winter in Buffalo including taking on too many projects and then feeling overwhelmed and not being able to follow through with them in the graceful way I would like to live my life.
I'm trying to be gentle with myself and imagine that it's like finding the garden in a dormant state after the winter. It has had time rest and to soak up nutrients from the leaves and compost. And now is the time for spring cleaning in my heart and in my life. Maybe yours too?
I ran a 4 week women's group a couple years ago around this time called "Spring Clean Your Life." We looked at different areas of our lives each week, setting goals and visions for the future, and planting seeds so to speak for our dreams, while supporting each other. I'm thinking it might be time for something like this again, maybe with some added movement or weekly Dancing Freedom classes to help shift our energies, lift our spirits, and activate our bodies.
Anyone else feeling interested in this right now?
